If you haven’t been following this story, Carroll alleged in a book excerpt published in New York Magazine that Trump pushed her against a wall, pulled down her tights and sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-1990s.
Trump denied the allegations, calling them “totally false” and saying that he had never met Carroll, despite a photograph showing them together at an event. Carroll filed a defamation lawsuit accusing Trump of harming her reputation by calling her a liar and suggesting that she fabricated the allegation for political purposes. *************************************************************************
